Young adults between the ages of 18 and 28 coming from all ethnic, religious, geographical, and cultural participate in the fellowship program based on backgrounds work and live in together in Nyack, New York, USA.

 

During the 9-week program sponsored by European Union’s Youth in Action programme, the fellows (Nurana Rajabova: Azerbaijan, age 25, Andrei Trubceac: Romania/Moldova, age 25, Amos Furaha: Rwanda, age 23, and Rosario Quiroz:Mexico/USA, age 24) work as interns of IFOR’s International Secretariat, participate in non-violence trainings and develop and design Individual Projects in accordance with IFOR’s mission as well as their respective specific interests and local context.

 

Fellows are empowered to take leadership roles in the global nonviolence movement, gaining experience through the Fellowship School’s internship, training, mentorship, and individual project development components.

 

Following the program’s close on December 21, fellows will have approximately 7 months to implement and evaluate their individual projects. In August of 2014 fellows will have the opportunity to attend IFOR’s centennial celebration in Konstanz, Germany to present their projects.
